|  | Olympic Games Begin Today, Fellow Advocate and CML Patient Among Torchbearers
Liu, who lives in Beijing, China, was diagnosed with CML in December, 2001 at the age of 23. In March, 2003, he contacted The Max Foundation’s International Patient Helpline to request our services. Our team worked with Liu to identify the right channels for access to treatment. We have kept in touch with him through the years. Five years later, we were so happy to receive photos from Liu, showing him healthy and strong, as a proud bearer of the Olympic torch. Read More |

|  | 2008 TMF Art Project: “Embracing Life with Cancer”
Engaging in art therapy crosses social and cultural boundaries and gives people living with cancer a unique way to express their personal journey. The Max Foundation’s Annual Art Project incorporates an art therapy model into community building and patient support. We encourage everyone to participate in this fun activity and submit their artwork. Deadline for submission of applications is September 1, 2008.
